DISCOVER SUZANI ><\/b>
\n<\/b>Suzan<\/span><\/i>, in Persian means “textile knot”. In Iran the production of these fabrics is called <\/span>Susandozi<\/span><\/i>, that is “knot work”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Suzani is a type of ancient and traditional embroidery of the Middle East and Asia, typical in wedding kits, because it is precious. In Uzbekistan it is also a tribal decorative fabric.<\/span><\/p>\n

The base is hand-embroidered cotton with silk thread in chain stitch, satin stitch or buttonhole stitch. They are often made in several pieces, then sewn together. The decorations are suns and moons, flowers, vine leaves or fruits, such as pomegranate. <\/span><\/p>\n
